The Canvasback is similar in looks to the Redhead Duck, both having dark red-coloured heads. The Canvasback is recognized by its long straight bill. This waterfowl was once considered an endangered species because of overhunting. It is now seen in abundance once more in North America. It has been reported seen in Cuba.
