Black-necked Stilt range

The Black-necked Stilt is one of the most attractive shorebirds seen in North America. This black and white bird, with long pinkish-red legs and a long thin neck makes for a wonderful sight. It is seen more in the warmer US states, but small numbers are seen in the Canadian prairie provinces. It is also a native shorebird to the islands in the Caribbean.
